Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi
It was the queen of Jhansi, who wrote the indelible saga of patriotism in the first freedom struggle of 1857. She made women proud not only of India but of the world with her valour. Her life was full of the qualities of bravery in itself, so her deeds are a unique saga of immortal patriotism and sacrifice.
Lakshmibai was born in Kashi. His paternal grandfather Balwant Rao was a general in the army of Bajirao Peshwa. Lakshmibai was known as Manubai in her childhood. Among the warriors who sacrificed their lives in the battle against the British, the name of Maharani Laxmibai is considered to be paramount.
She bravely faced fought against the strong army of the British and keep it at bay for a long time. There is no doubt that Rani Lakshmi Bai will remain a symbol of valour for our eternal generations.

Rani Chennamma
Like Rani Lakshmi Bai, Rani Chennamma may not have got the place in history that she should have got, but no one can deny the fact that even before Lakshmibai, Rani Chennamma of Kittur had fought fiercely with the British.
Rani Chennamma was the queen of Kittur in Karnataka, who played the bugle against the slavery of the British. She was the first queen to form her own army and fight against the British East India Company in 1824, but she was later arrested and since then she has become a pioneer of the Indian independence struggle.In the state of Karnataka, she fought against the British Empire along with Abbakka Rani, KeladiChennamma and OnkeObavva.
Begum Hazrat Mahal
In the independence struggle of the country, if we talk about Awadh, the name of Begum Hazrat Mahal comes first on our tongue. If we turn the pages of history, we will know how Begum Hazrat Mahal took over the reign of Lucknow anew and how she fought against the British for her rights.
The valour of Begum Hazrat Mahal can be gauged from the fact that she had made a complete plan to break Lord Canning’s security squad to free Wajid Ali Shah, who was detained by the British.
However due to betrayal, the secret of her plan was exposed, otherwise, she would have been successful in freeing Wajid Ali Shah. It is said that Begum herself used to encourage the army on the battlefield.
Rani Durgavati
In 1584 AD, a girl was bornin Rath village of Mahobadistrict of Uttar Pradesh, named Durgavati. Her name spread everywhere due to her brilliance, courage, valour and beauty.
Later, when she grew up and held the sword, only the valour stories her were sung. Rani Durgavati’s bravery has not been less than Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. The heroic character of Durgavati was suppressed for a long time because she fought against the Muslim rulers and defeated them many times.
Obviously, the role of historians has not been unquestionable every time, but today those facts are in front of the whole world.
Hadi Rani
Hadi Rani can be called another name of sacrifice. Her sacrifice and dedication can be understood only from the fact that after just seven days of marriage, she had beheaded herself with her own hands and sent her head husband to the battlefield as a symbol so that her husband could not get distracted by her beauty and do his duty with full devotion. Hadi Rani’s letter read, “Dear, I am sending you my last belonging. I am cutting off all the bonds of your attachment. Now do your duty without fear.I am gone and will be waiting for you in heaven.”
Razia Sultana
Razia al-Din, popularly known as Razia Sultana, is among the well-known warrior queens of India. History remembers her as the first female Muslim ruler of the Delhi Sultanate.
At a very early age, unlike other princess, Razia was trained in administration and military warfare.Later when she was crowned as the Sultan of Delhi, she brought about many pragmatic changes in society. She was also known for her gender-neutral attire. However, her ascent to the apex positive was full of hudles. After the death of Iltutmish( Razia’s father), Razia’s brother took over the throne. Razia had to wait for a long to become queen. Later, one of her other brothers usurped the throne. In the ensuing conflict, Razia was killed along with her lover Altunia.
Rani Padmini
Rani Padmini, popularly known as Padmavati, was an embodiment of self-respect. She was famous for her beauty and, according to historical accounts, Alauddin Khilji of the Delhi Sultanate unleashed an attack on her fort to capture her. However, she was not just a beautiful but brave too. She was adept fighter and well versed with war strategies as well. When it became clear that her husband, King Rawal Ratan Singh, was set to lose the battle, she chose to perish on her own terms rather than concede defeat. Rani Padmini will forever be considered a shining symbol of self sacrifice.
