The Central Government has announced to begin with a new train, proposed as ‘Bharat Gaurav’ trains to promote tourism in the country. Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnav informed that more than 180 ‘Bharat Gaurav’ trains will be operated. As the ‘Bharat Gaurav’ train brings us closer to our country’s rich culture and heritage, so this time private companies will get an opportunity to decide all the things including the fare, theme and facilities on their own. This will not be a regular train.
Actually, the central government has told that it has decided to run more than 180 Bharat Gaurav trains. This will be a theme-based train, through which tourist destinations of different states of the country will be promoted. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishva said, “Bharat Gaurav trains will show the culture and heritage of India.” He said that the Railways have also started inviting applications for this. The Railways department further added that through theme-based tourism, it is planning trains like Guru Kripa which will cover all the places that are related to Guru Nanak or Ramayana-themed train which will go to places related to Lord Ram.
Fare of Bharat Gaurav Train
When any new train is announced or introduced, the very first question arises about its fare. Railway fares are considered to be much cheaper than any other transportation services. In such a situation, it is expected that whichever new train will be started, its fare will be less. Till now, Indian Railways used to fix the fare of most of the trains, but if we look at the ‘Bharat Gaurav’ train, its fare will be decided by the tour operators.

Trains can be taken on lease
If any tour operator shows his interest to run these trains, then he will be able to take them on lease. Along with this, he will also be able to decide the route, circuit etc. of that train. Through these trains, passengers will be able to know more about the cultural heritage of the country.
Railways will help with maintenance, parking and some other facilities to run these trains. Let us tell you that recently the Railways has started the Ramayana Express train with the aim of promoting tourism of religious places, which will facilitate people in visiting many religious places associated with Lord Rama.
